Dear Pirate Families and Staff,

We want to share an important update regarding the 2026–2027 school calendar.

We recognize that the calendar has already been shared, and we understand that changes can impact planning for our families and staff. In early March, we were notified of a TEA guideline and needed to make a necessary change.

At a Special Called Board Meeting on Monday, March 23, the Crandall ISD Board of Trustees approved the updated 2026–2027 school calendar.

What is changing:

• September 24, February 11, and March 12 will now be instructional days for students

• These days were previously scheduled as student holidays but were already designated as professional learning days for staff

• An updated calendar can be found at www.crandall-isd.net/calendars

Additional adjustment:

• March 12 was previously designated as a bad weather day

• February 12 will now serve as the district’s second bad weather day
