Barbara Walker Elementary School is a proud part of Crandall Independent School District, located in the heart of the Heartland community in Crandall, Texas. Since opening its doors in August 2009, Walker Elementary has been dedicated to providing high-quality education, a positive school culture, and strong family partnerships to help every student thrive. At the time of its opening, it became the third elementary campus in Crandall ISD and has remained a cornerstone of the district’s continued growth.
Walker Elementary currently serves students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade, offering a well-rounded, student-focused education that supports academic excellence, character development, and a love of learning. Our school is named in honor of Barbara Walker, a respected educator and advocate who served the Crandall ISD community with integrity and passion.
At Walker Elementary, we believe in building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Our dedicated teachers deliver instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), using innovative strategies and tools to meet the unique needs of each learner.
